Frequently asked questions
What areas do you service?
We visit you in home/locally within a 25km Radius of New Lambton
Do you service other areas such as Maitland & Hunter Valley?
We do sometimes assist in areas outside of our general service radius. Additional travel fees apply to these appointments.
Do you use treats to train the dog?
Yes! We use positive reinforcement as a proven science based method of training. We delver rewards for your dogs hard work which may include play, praise or food. It helps them to learn distinctively what works and what doesn't work in their training and makes it much more enjoyable for all. No, you're not spoiling them and it wont make your dog fat! Same calorie intake, just distributed differently.
Can we join the training sessions to learn too?
We offer a number of different services, some where we train you to train your dog (Behaviour modification, Life Skills, Puppy foundations)
and others where the trainer will collect your dog and work with them 1 on 1 for more regular or intensive sessions (Train me, Walk&Train).
Do you offer Puppy School?
Currently we only offer private Puppy Foundation lessons, not classes.
We believe Puppy School is an VERY important part of every dogs learning, shaping their early development during important periods.
Were yet to find the facility we think can appropriately foster this, so we're working hard to bring you a new training facility that will accommodate all these important aspects, enabling us to deliver the best possible start, and life for all our dogs.
Until then we suggest doing your research as some schools, such as those run by local pet retailers will often have inexperienced staff which can creating or exasperate early problems.
We recommend:
Dogaholics Puppy school, Adamstown
Polite Puppies, Wallsend
Smart Paws training, Mayfield

Do you guarantee to 'fix' my dog?
No. We don't offer any guarantee and suggest that if someone does, you run the other way. There is no guarantee any dogs issues can be resolved. We take all measures to ensure we can offer you the best service possible, meet your expectations and truly make a difference before accepting your appointment. Otherwise we refer you to someone who can better assist.
We don't have a magic wand and we don't whisper, but we do have thousands of happy locals who can attest to our service and skills.
Can you train my service/therapy dog?
Service and therapy dogs have many different roles today. Yes we can help you with training for your service dog certification, prepare you for your PAT and assist you with maintaining where necessary.
NDIS participants welcome.
What's your cancellation policy?
Sometimes life happens, your pup falls ill or were at mercy to the elements- we understand and reschedule when necessary.
We ask for courtesy and respect for our time, sessions will be voided when travel to appointment has occurred or after 12 month expiry.
Can you train my dog for protection?
No. We don't offer protection dog training nor do we work with cases of dog aggression. Please seek another trainer.
